Product FAQ
Are your products organic?
We strive to source 100% USDA certified organic produce wherever possible, but may occasionally make exceptions for small farms that are following organic best practices but have not yet achieved certification. All organic ingredients are marked with an asterisk (*) on the label.
Are your products GMO-free?
The USDA prohibits use of GMOs in the organic products it certifies, so all ingredients marked as “*certified organic” on the label are GMO-free. For any non-certified ingredients we source, we do our best to ensure that GMO-free practices are being followed.
Do your products contain any allergens? Are they Gluten-free?
None of our products contain any of the top 8 allergens (Milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, and soy). They also contain no gluten or animal ingredients. However, we do currently work in a shared kitchen. We follow best practices for sanitation and avoiding cross-contamination, but due to the nature of airflow through the dehydrators, there is a slight possibility of allergens contacting the food. As we grow, we hope to get our own dedicated facility so we can certify as gluten-free.
Are your products vegetarian? Vegan?
Our products contain no animal products or byproducts. While we don’t have third-party certification, our ingredients are all vegetarian and vegan.
Do your products contain salt?
Our products contain only the naturally occurring sodium present in the vegetables they are made from. We don’t add salt, because everyone’s taste for salt varies. Feel free to add your own to enhance the flavors, or not. It’s up to you!
My seasoning powder is all clumped together. Does that mean it’s gone bad?
Not at all! Adding anti-clumping agents to seasonings and other dried foods is common, but we keep any extras like that out of our jars. Clumping is normal, which is why we don’t include shaker tops on our seasonings. Just give the jar a hearty shake or stir with a clean, dry spoon and those clumps will go away, leaving pure produce goodness!
