How Do I Use These?
A Word About Salt
All of our products contain no added salt.
Personally, we think salt is great… in moderation. But it’s also very personal to individual taste and your unique health needs.
With that in mind, we always offer the words “add salt to taste” in our recipes and tips. Feel free to go entirely without if you want to, but salt is a flavor enhancer, so if your diet doesn’t restrict it, try just a sprinkle to start, and see what your taste buds tell you.

Mirepoix Powder
Onions, carrots, and celery, oh my! This versatile seasoning and soup starter is all set to save you hours of shopping and chopping.
As a Soup Starter
For your favorite soup recipes, just drop in 1 teaspoon of Mirepoix powder per cup of liquid in the soup instead of chopping fresh carrots, onions and celery. If it’s a thicker soup, such as one relying on chopped tomatoes for liquid, bump the amount of powder up a bit to a rounded teaspoon per cup.
This seasoning works best if you let it sit a while, allowing the liquids in your recipe to rehydrate the veggies before beginning the regular cooking process, so add it early over low heat, or just soak the preferred amount of powder in 1/2 to 1 cup of your liquid for 15 minutes before you start cooking. For slow cooker recipes, no special treatment is needed.
Please note that this is not a bouillon powder–it won’t dissolve fully into your soup. Instead, it’s tiny chunks of your favorite veggies. Think of it as food confetti!
For Dips and Dressings
As a veggie dip for your crudite tray, mix 2 teaspoons of Mirepoix powder into 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt or sour cream and stir in salt to taste (we do recommend at least a small pinch on this one). Let rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, then give it a stir. If you’re feeling extra fancy, add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime. Want to take it ranch style? Add a splash of buttermilk, fresh-ground black pepper, and a 1/2 teaspoon of dried dill.
No salad dressing? No problem. Stir a half teaspoon of Mirepoix powder into 1 tablespoon of your favorite salad oil (Olive? Avocado? We won’t judge) and 1 tablespoon of your favorite vinegar (Rice? White wine? Apple cider? You decide). Add salt and pepper to taste. Or not, it’s your call!
Pure Vegetable All Purpose Seasoning
Sprinkle it on before you cook just like any of your favorite roast vegetable, fish or poultry seasonings, or mix it with your favorite flour to coat foods before baking or frying. Great for omnivore, vegan and vegetarian recipes.
Our personal faves:
Craving blackened fish but feeling sensitive to spice? Sprinkle lightly on both sides of a catfish, cod, or halibut filet and pan-fry on a dry pan over medium-high heat for 2-5 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the filet. This gets that nice blackened look with all the flavor and none of the heat. Salt to taste or leave it out!
Sprinkle on or toss in chicken wings, salt ’em if you want to, then bake at 375º until the inner temperature is 165º (usually about 30-35 minutes for fresh and 45-50 minutes for frozen, but ovens and wing size vary, so always check for doneness).
Toss a tablespoon (plus a pinch of salt if you want it) with diced potatoes and roast at 425º for 20-30 minutes or until the potatoes are fully cooked. Cooking times will vary depending on your cube size.
You can use this one as a soup starter too! Making leftovers into minestrone? Level it up with 1 teaspoon veg powder per cup of liquid stock.
Single Ingredients: Onions, Bell Peppers, Jalapeños
Level up your soups and salads with a burst of bold veggie flavor. Different textures and colors can make meals feel more satisfying, so sprinkle them on anything that you think could use some pep.
Forgot something at the grocery store or just need a quick veg fix? You can also cook with these just like their fresh counterparts. Simply soak them in water until they plump up, then cook with them as you normally would. Don’t forget to save any water from rehydrating to add extra flavor!
